Abstract

|
Pituitary adenoma was the most frequent suprasellar tumor and visual loss was the most common ocular presentation. Compressive damage to the optic chiasm accounts for the most frequent manifestations of slowly progressive visual loss with bitemporal visual field loss. We experienced monocular visual loss similar to the posterior ischemic optic neuropathy in patient with pituitary adenoma. The MRI is important in patient who had monocular visual disturbance without other causes, because the pituitary adenoma may be presented with monocular visual disturbance.
